Challenge: “Make Us A Magazine”
 

The guys at The Chapar like to get stuff done, it’s a way working we can get fully behind at The UV. “Make us a magazine” they said, and three weeks later it was rolling off the press. The challenge: to help build and define the Chapar lifestyle through a quarterly mag. One that could both spread the word of a service revolutionising the way men shop and create a stronger sense of community for those who already use it.

Top influencers love print - they might be kings of their own digital space but no can one resist an interview in a quality magazine. Plus, commission right and create in a focused way, and you can produce content that works across all channels: print, social and blog.

Solution: The Chapar Handbook, The Smart Business issue

We pulled together a creative team from the UV Collective - notably designer James Inglis, stylist Will Barnes, writers Dan Masoliver and Matt Blake, and sub Emma King - and edited by me (Joe Barnes). All content in the magazine had to align to the Chapar’s core mantra: ‘smart living made easy’.

By the nature of the service, Chapar customers are not particularly engaged with standard fashion editorial, so we had to ensure all style content was useful and with a good dollop of tone and humour. Our mission was to sell the essence of The Chapar brand - doing things in a smarter, more efficient way. Final content lived in the 57 page print mag (over 100k circ), on the Chapar Blog, and Chapar social.
