INVESTIGATING THE CROSS-CULTURAL IMPACT OF GAMING FOR GOOGLE UK

 

The UV were commissioned by the YouTube creative solutions team to produce a short documentary on gaming culture. Our brief: to tell the story of gaming's influence on pop culture. How it's shaped the music we listen to, the films we enjoy, the way we play and watch sport, even the way we look at the world around us.

We tracked down, badgered, and roped in some truly inspirational people for the project, and pretty diverse bunch at that. Notably the brilliant Kieran Long of The V&A, Max Helyer from You Me At Six, Dr Jo Twist of UKIE and Chelsea FC's Jamal Blackman. You can watch the teaser film, premiered at Ad Week Europe, below.
